2nd Annual Highlands Ranch Real Estate Criterium August 14th
Highlands Ranch, CO - (June 8, 2010) - BRC Real Estate is thrilled to sponsor the 2nd Annual Criterium presented by Broadnet with all profits benefiting Livestrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation on August 14th, 2010. This 1-mile circuit bike race starts at 7:30 A.M. directly across from the Highlands Ranch Town Center with ten different racing categories, including a kids bike race and the new Senior Men 35+ category 3 race. The professional bike race starts at 5 P.M., with all the racing ending at 6:30 P.M. A vendor village will be set up throughout the day with representation from local Highlands Ranch businesses.
Criterium racing on a short course is faster and more intense than a traditional point-to-point road race. It makes an exciting spectator event as it allows the crowd to see the racers pass by every few minutes. Each race varies in length depending on the level of racing. The pro men’s race is a full 90 minutes in duration and the category 4 race (for entry level racers) is only 45 minutes in duration.
Each race has a cash prize for the top ten finishers, with $7,500 the total cash purse for the pro men.
